Big updates, exciting events, and plenty to explore—welcome to our latest newsletter! We've been busy rolling out powerful new features, including Embedded Media, Related Entries, Forms, and Artifact Intelligence™, giving you even more ways to work with your collections. On top of that, we're hitting the road for conference season and hosting an upcoming webinar on shipping cultural objects with confidence. There's a lot to explore, so let's dive in!

New Features
‍

Embedded Media

You can now attach images, documents, videos, and other supported media directly alongside your data within certain expansion panels in CatalogIt rather than only at the top level. Whether you’re documenting a condition report, conservation work, inscriptions or marks, acquisition details, or exhibition context, your media stays connected to the relevant data. Add captions and descriptions to provide extra detail, all neatly tied to the object you’re documenting.

Related Entries

You can now easily connect related records within CatalogIt using the new Related Entries feature. Simply search for and select another entry to create a relationship between records. Related entries appear as clickable links, making it easy to navigate between connected objects and maintain clearer context across your collections. An update that connects your items more than ever!

Forms

We’re excited to introduce Forms, now available in all Museum accounts! You can generate essential collections documentation, including loan agreements, deeds of gift, and temporary custody forms, directly from your CatalogIt records. Forms automatically pull in object data, account information, and data from relevant Profiles, helping reduce manual entry while improving consistency across your collections workflows. It’s a faster, more streamlined way to create the documentation your institution relies on every day.

Artifact Intelligence™

Introducing Artifact Intelligence™—a growing set of optional AI-powered capabilities designed to help you get more from your collections data. As new features become available, we’ll share them here.

Curatorial Assistant (Coming Soon)

We’re preparing to launch the CatalogIt Curatorial Assistant, a new Artifact Intelligence™ feature designed to help you work more effectively with your collections.

We’re building the Curatorial Assistant to help users do things like:

• Discover connections across objects, people, places, and events
‍
• Surface useful insights from collection records more quickly
‍
• Identify gaps or inconsistencies in catalog data
‍
• Accelerate interpretive and exhibition content development

As we move toward launch, we’re inviting subscribed account owners to express interest in early access. Participants will have an opportunity to try the feature early and help shape the experience with feedback.

Your Privacy Matters

As with the Describe Image Assistant introduced last year, Artifact Intelligence™ features are built with privacy in mind. Your collection data is not used to train AI models. These features are entirely optional and only process data when you choose to use them.
