CatalogIt defaults to US settings for currency, length, and weight units, but now the Account Owner can specify different units for the account in the Settings menu. From the Main Menu, go to Settings, then select Default Settings, and choose your units. Your currency will automatically display based on your selection and new dimensions and weights you enter will default to your selected setting. Units of measurement you’ve already entered will not change and going forward, you have the freedom to enter measurement data in units other than your default settings.
We’ve recently added a Classification for Clothing/Dress/Costume- please take a look! Now you can catalog any fine wardrobe pieces you have and the historic clothing items in your collections in greater detail than before. There are additional Classifications currently in the works- stay tuned!
Soon CatalogIt will support “structured search” which will allow much greater precision in querying your collections. In the meantime, here are a couple of handy tips to make more efficient use of the search bar in CatalogIt:
The Chinese Historical Society of America has its headquarters as well as an outstanding museum in the heart of San Francisco’s Chinatown. Through its permanent, temporary and traveling exhibits, the CHSA promotes the history and legacy of the Chinese in America. The CHSA Museum is well worth a visit the next time you are in San Francisco- you’ll learn about the complicated history, inclusion and exclusion, of Chinese Americans and the tremendous contributions they’ve made to the country. The Museum building was designed by famed architect Julia Morgan in 1932 to house the Chinatown YWCA. It integrates Chinese motifs along with western architecture and is a historic and cultural landmark itself.
Although we hope you don’t choose to do so, you now have the option to unsubscribe from these Newsletters. This and all future newsletters will include an "Unsubscribe" link-- click the link to stop receiving these newsletters. Note, however, that by doing so, you will no longer be notified of periodic enhancements to CatalogIt, such as the localized settings and new Classifications mentioned above. Our deep thanks to all of you, and keep on cataloging!
